Abstract

¡@¡@Suppose a designer wants to create a planar curve passing through a given ordered set of points. He faces the problem of specifying the parametric values at which the points will be attained, and how best to do this so that the interpolant shall reflect the designer's intention regarding the shape of the curve. I will discuss several simple methods, together with their pros and cons. This talk will be completely elementary, accessible to undergraduates.
