南區統計研討會屬全國性質之重要機率統計學術研討會，自民國81年起至今已舉行24屆。歷屆來論文發表及參與人員都相當熱烈，近年來每屆都有超過300人參與，堪稱國內每年定期舉行之機率統計學術研討會中歷史悠久且最盛大者。南區統計研討會另一個特色是提供碩、博士班研究生發表其研究工作的平台，讓機率統計領域的新血與資深學者專家們能更廣泛切磋交流，並提供機率統計界的新枝老幹一個互相認識及傳承的寶貴機會。 |

本屆研討會將由國立中山大學應用數學系承辦。中山大學座落於柴山山麓及西子灣畔，可飽覽柴山之美且聽浪花輕拍樂曲，是高雄著名的觀光景點。我們誠摯邀請從事機率統計工作或研究的朋友們前來參與此次研討會，與統計同好交換工作或研究成果並享受南部的熱情。 |

The South Taiwan Statistics Conference (STSC) is one of the largest and most important country-wide Probability and Statistics conferences in Taiwan. The meeting has been held for 24 years since 1992. Recently, STSC has attracted more than 300 participants. In addition, STSC also serves as a stage for master's and PhD students to present their ongoing research work and as a platform for both young and experienced scholars to exchange ideas. |

The 25th STSC is organized by the Department of Applied Mathematics, National Sun Yat-sen University, located in the foothills beside Mt. Longevity and next to the XiZi Bay, which is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Kaohsiung. While on the campus, you can admire Mt. Longevity and listen to the music of the waves. We invite all friends and researchers interested in probability or statistics to participate in this conference, to exchange experiences of your work and research, and also to enjoy the enthusiasm of the people of southern Taiwan. |
