摘 要：

The standard finite element analysis using Schwatz integral inequality is too crude. Our finite element analysis is based on some integral identities which give the exact order of certain finite element error. But no free dinner for such integral identities. We must pay for them, i.e. by using optimal mesh and optimal shape function. In our lectures we will explain what are optimal wesh and optimal shape function and why we may have the integral identity instead of having Schwatz integral inequality. Our analysis holds for various partial differential equations and various finite element methods.
