講 題：Geometric Characterizations of Some Classes of Distance-Regular Graphs

The characterizations of some known classes of distance-regular graphs and their associated geometric structures are interesting and important topics in combinatorics. Grassmann graphs $J_q(n,d)$ and the bilinear forms graphs $H_q(n,d)$ are two typical classes of distance-regular graphs with classical parameters. Their associated geometric structures have many interesting properties in common. These two graphs are called of projective type and of affine type since their maximal cliques carry the structures of projective spaces and affine spaces, respectively. In this talk, we survey some known geometric characterizations of $J_q(n,d)$ and $H_q(n,d)$, and present a unified approach to a characterization of these two graphs based on classical parameters.
